What this collaboration is about

Sonde and a leading automotive manufacturer are collaborating to develop machine-learning algorithms to detect alcohol impairment from voice. With potential enhancements to driver and passenger safety, we are working together to develop new ways to advance automotive technology.

Patients in cognitive behavioral therapy

The automotive partner participates in voice data and blood alcohol level collection, while Sonde applies its voice and machine learning expertise to detection model development

20 pilot participants

Goal is to demonstrate the ability to detect alcohol intoxication at levels that could impair driving ability – initially in a non-driving situation, safely collecting data from research participants in their home environment

Depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder

Sonde’s vocal biomarker platform is used to collect voice data, drinking activity, blood alcohol levels and functional measures of alcohol intoxication
